A great close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites, and there's nice hiking along the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail. Yeah, come here to Glenmere Lake for a brilliant time. This lake is so wonderful. Pequannock River is a fine whitewater spot near Glenmere Lake, and Glenmere Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Black Bear Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby. A day       on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHESTER-MONROE-GOSHEN is a wonderful location to get some rest. Goshen Number Two Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could explore; from Glenmere Lake you obtain a perfect vista of Fort Hill. Don't leave Glenmere Lake without first going for a hike along the Comfort Trail, and a pleasant visit to Black Meadows is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. Glenmere                  Lake mostly gets much rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. So many exciting things to do here at Glenmere Lake, too wonderful to be true. A fine place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Glenmere Lake is Ramapo River, and if you're here, you could also explore charming Hill Lake. For the duration of the summer months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Glenmere Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Glenmere Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. The Cannonball Trail offers hiking at its best, and an afternoon playing golf at Hickory Hill Golf Course is always a pleasure. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is great at Mt. Peter.
