Drift down the rapids of Pequannock River in a kayak, and you can hit the slopes at Mt. Peter nearby. Do set aside some time for Black Meadows while you're here at Glenmere Lake, and there are other places here than Glenmere Lake, for example Hill Lake. At Glenmere Lake you can observe Fort Hill, and paddling on Ramapo River is so much fun. Summertime highs at Glenmere Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. A round of golf at nearby Hickory Hill Golf Course is a wonderful way to kill some time, and a good site to camp here at Glenmere Lake is Motor Sports Marina and Campground. Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Glenmere Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Black Bear Campground is a good local campground, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHESTER-MONROE-GOSHEN
is a great choice. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Good hiking is available along the Cannonball Trail; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites. Glenmere Lake in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Glenmere Lake a wet location; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. Go for a hike on the Comfort Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Sterling Forest.
