Gotta ski! Jiminy Peak is a pleasant spot to do that, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Southeast Hollow Trail. All the outdoors exciting stuff right next door to Glass Lake will keep you coming back over and over. A good nearby hotel is Knights Inn Castleton       on Hudson/Schodack, and Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This is a popular place for folks from Hudson, and the summit of Bailey Mountain can be seen from Glass Lake.
