Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is plentiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. There is a glorious hiking trail in the vicinity of Ginger Pond called the Norridge Trail; a delightful close by hotel is Clark's Beach Motel. This lake is so wonderful. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains.       Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Oswegatchie River - East Branch; why not camp at Cape Woods Campground since you're here at Ginger Pond. High temperatures at Ginger Pond throughout the days of summer are in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Ginger Pond temperatures sink to the                  0's. A delightful site to camp here at Ginger Pond is Singing waters Campground; a day on the slopes of McCauley Mountain is just what you need. Lakes are pleasant; Bear Pond is a lake that's right next door to Ginger Pond, and there are some good whitewater spots on Beaver River. Ginger Pond really is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. On a splendid day at Ginger Pond you can take a hike along the Salmon Lake Trail, and after a long day outdoors Forge Motel is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Ginger Pond is not far at all from Ogdensburg-Massena, and going for a hike on the Post Henderson Trail is always a splendid adventure.
