Gilmore Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Gilmore Pond gets a great deal of water; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most while January is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Trinity Lake is a great lake close to Gilmore Pond, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Thunder Ridge. Fox Hill can be seen from Gilmore Pond. Get wet paddling on Norwalk River. There's so much to do here at Gilmore Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Workshop is a fine place for that. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Gilmore Pond. High temperatures at Gilmore Pond throughout the summer months are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's
while the cold winter nights at Gilmore Pond are in the 10's. Dry warm beds await you at Roger Sherman Inn (Le); the wonderful folks of Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown like to hang out close by. Near Gilmore Pond you come across
Wildcat Hollow which is a perfect place to visit, and don't leave Gilmore Pond without first checking out Raven Rocks.
