Beautiful Gilman Lake has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. There are good places to discover along the Oregon Trail; whitewater paddling is fine on Sacandaga River. You're sure to bump into some good folks from Gloversville here, and if the weather is delightful, you obtain a pleasant sight of Cutknife Mountain from Gilman Lake. A great deal of precipitation falls at Gilman Lake; November is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month

You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Paddling on Sacandaga River - Middle Branch is so much fun. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Gilman Lake get into the 70's; the overnight is rather chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Gilman Lake. Near Gilman Lake you come across the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and you
can stay the night at Rainbows End. Going for a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a splendid site to get some rest. That right there is a lot of amusing stuff
already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Gilman Lake is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Ranch Side Park is a fine site to camp nearby; nothing beats kicking back at Moffit Beach.
