Gillman Pond is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Schiff Trail is tremendous fun. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Holiday Mountain, and camping at Gillman Pond is fine fun, All Seasons Campsite is a fine       local campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Peenpack Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Inn At Lake Joseph. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Gillman Pond. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Gillman Pond are in the 10's. Gillman Pond is right by the Lost Cabin Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay American Family                  Campground is a splendid place to camp. Gillman Pond is not the only spot close by, Melody Lake is a close by lake, and whitewater paddling is good on Neversink River. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Hotel Concord & Country Club, and High Falls is a glorious local attraction. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
