This lake is so wonderful. Mount Pisgah can be made out from Lake Gilead, and paddling on Tenmile is so much fun. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Lake Gilead. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn MT. KISCO (WESTCHESTER COUNTY), and if you're a golfer then a perfect nearby course       is Centennial Golf Club of New York. The snow is tremendous at Thunder Ridge, and Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a brilliant campground nearby. Lake Gilead is not far at all from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and if you came for an overnight stay Camp Kiwi is a perfect place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lake Gilead, you could also pop by wonderful West Branch Reservoir, and if you need a location to stay Le Chambord is                  a glorious choice. There's some flowing water close by, Michael Brook is a stream you can visit while here, and there's fine hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. The warmest time of the year at Lake Gilead comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is quite colder of course, usually in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; night lows at Lake Gilead during the wintertime commonly plunge into the 10's. Lake Gilead gets a good deal of water; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.   Holiday Inn MT.
