Go to Gid Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. Don't leave Gid Lake without first going for a hike along the California Trail, and Knights Inn Little Falls is a brilliant place to get some rest. Good hiking is available along the Twin Lakes Trail, and West Canada Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for

| | a glorious time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gid Lake; Party Trail is a tremendous local trail, and from Gid Lake you acquire a splendid vista of Baldface Mountain.

is so wonderful. Why not camp at Adirondack Gateway Campground if you're here at Gid Lake; a fine swamp next to Gid Lake is Bethune Vly. This location rocks, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do close to Gid Lake. You'll
never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at McCauley Mountain if you're here, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Beaverdam Pond.
Gid Lake is a reasonably wet place mostly with a great
deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls during August while February is generally the driest month. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.

stay OLD Forge Camping Resort is a great site to camp; in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on West Canada Creek - South Branch.
