So much enjoyable stuff right next door to Gid Lake, clearly mind-boggling. The vista of beautiful Baldface Mountain near Gid Lake is good, and a delightful location for whitewater paddling is West Canada Creek. Go for a hike on the Party Trail, and you can run the rapids of West Canada Creek - South Branch. Through the summer at Gid Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's while nighttime       lows are mostly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Gid Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Gid Lake a wet location; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. This site, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Gid Lake is a good place to camp, Cape Woods Campground is a good place, and going for a hike on the                  California Trail is always a tremendous adventure. So many fun things to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Little Falls Motor Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Gid Lake is glorious fun, Adirondack Gateway Campground is a glorious local campground, and delightful skiing awaits you at McCauley Mountain. Gid Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains.
