Rats, Possums, Snakes, and other animals look for other places to hide. This means that they go into back yards of people who live behind the pond. People pay great amounts to live on Long Island and great amounts of money into taxes and they don't want creatures running into their yards. Gibbs Pond is disgusting homes many disgusting animals and when they dredge it problems only escalate. Fix it immediately. Thanks. There's so much to do here at Gibbs Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Heckscher State Park is a magnificent place for that, and if you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Smithtown is a splendid choice. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Gibbs Pond. A trip to Fire Island National Seashore is worthwhile. One of the best things about Gibbs Pond is       its proximity to Long Beach, and Gibbs Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Hither Hills State Park is a fine local campground. From a rain point of view Gibbs Pond is a pretty common site; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Gibbs Pond, you'll discover Gould Pond which is a striking lake, and why not spend some time                  golfing at a close by golf course like Nissequogue Golf Club. Dry warm beds await you at Worldwide Hotel Supply; while you're here here do visit nearby West Meadow Beach. At Gibbs Pond through the summertime highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's.
