    Do stop by Giant Washbowl while you're in this part of New York. At Giant Washbowl through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's while Giant Washbowl night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Having a great time in the Adirondack Mountains is uncomplicated. You can run the rapids of John's Brook close to Giant Washbowl, and the Leach Trail  
   is a pleasant hiking trail nearby. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. You're in all probability hooked on lakes, Chapel Pond is one of those close by. There's so much to do here at Giant Washbowl that you need to camp here for a while, Paradise Pines Camping Resort is a perfect spot for that.
Nubble is gorgeous and can be made out from Giant Washbowl; going for a hike along the Weston Trail will let you absorb the natural
 
               beauty of this vicinity. Get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Ausable River - East Branch; the slopes of Whiteface Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. Just can't get enough of Giant Washbowl. Some of the water close by flows, like Roaring Brook, and Giant Washbowl is nice enough to spend more than a day at, High Peaks Base Camp is a nice local campground.
The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a glorious choice. Giant Washbowl gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Lake Placid, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Stimson Trail.
