Lake Gay is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Camping at Adirondack Gateway Campground is always a pleasant experience, and hiking along the Stone Dam Trail is good fun. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Little Black Creek is so much fun, and Woods Valley is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. For the period of the warm days of summer at Lake Gay highs are       usually in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Gay. This lake is so wonderful. At Lake Gay you always meet someone from Utica-Rome, and Lake Gay is right by the Party Trail. So much fun stuff to do at Lake Gay, so little time. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Black River, and if you need a spot to stay Crest Motel is a perfect choice. You just                  can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. Big Brook is a great spot to check out, and dry warm beds await you at Grant Hotel. A great deal of rain falls at Lake Gay; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. A lake nearby is Lake Charlotte, and Lake Gay is good enough to spend more than a day at, Trail's End Campground is a good local campground. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place!
