Gay Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Gay Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes are such serene       locations, why not visit Stewart Lake right next door to Gay Pond, and Huckleberry Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Gay Pond. Yeah, come here to Gay Pond for a perfect time. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Lockwood Swamp is right nearby. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gay Pond has to offer, you can camp at Crazy Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A scenic lake like Viele Pond right next door to Gay Pond is a brilliant                  place to pop by, and get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Sacandaga River. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is excellent! Why not check out close by Podunk Brook since you're here at Gay Pond, and Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a good location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is good at Gore Mountain, and Gay Pond is a spot with many visitors from Glens Falls. Summertime highs at Gay Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Gay Pond throughout the wintertime typically sink into the 0's. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by West Mountain, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Lake George Resort. There's whitewater on Schroon River for all you thrill seekers.
