If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Garrison Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; why not check out Con Hook also since you're here. This place, Garrison Pond, it clearly has so much outdoors exciting stuff. If you came for an overnight stay Beaver Pond is a tremendous place to camp, and the slopes of Mt. Peter are so inviting nobody can resist. A perfect nearby

This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Broccy Creek, and a pleasant site for whitewater paddling is Moodna Creek. You get a pleasant sight of Bare Rock Mountain from Garrison Pond, and if you're here and you like golf, you can pop by The Garrison Golf Club. Sebago Cabins Harriman is a great campground
here; there's nice hiking along the Woodtown Trail. A cool spot to stop at near Garrison Pond is Anthonys Nose, and Sterling Forest is a great local ski area.
All through the summer months, highs usually are in the 70's at Garrison
Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Garrison Pond. Yeah, come here to Garrison Pond for a nice time. Go for a hike on the Stillwell Lake Trail, and you'll find a lovely lake called Broccy Creek Reservoir.
