Hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is delightful fun, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Moodna Creek. If you adore the outdoors, you'll like Garrison Pond. Near Garrison Pond you come across a golf course called The Garrison Golf Club, and if you came for an overnight stay Sebago Cabins Harriman is a great location to camp. This lake       is so wonderful. One of the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Garrison Pond is Bare Rock Mountain, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mt. Peter. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Garrison Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's with overnight lows in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Garrison Pond. Don't forget to take a splendid                  little journey to Broccy Creek. Much rain falls at Garrison Pond; May is when you get the most rain here while February is frequently the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Highland Falls, and going for a hike along the Woodtown Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. If you come at the right time of year, Popolopen Creek offers some glorious whitewater, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Cragston Lakes. Don’t forget to take a look at Ring Meadow while you're here at Garrison Pond, and why not camp at Beaver Pond if you're here at Garrison Pond. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Sterling Forest, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a great location to get some rest. Anthonys Nose is something you shouldn't miss since you're here at Garrison Pond. Lakes are great; Brooks Lake is a lake that's close to Garrison Pond.
