If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Garnet Lake. The summit of Mount Blue can be seen from Garnet Lake, and a day on the slopes of Gore Mountain is just what you need. Northwind Lodge is a perfect site to get some rest, and there are some good whitewater spots on Roaring Branch. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Just can't get enough of the       Adirondack Mountains. Take a little tour to Pine Ridge Brook if you're here at Garnet Lake. A typical amount of rain falls here at Garnet Lake; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. High temperatures at Garnet Lake through the long summer days are in the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the                  20's while Garnet Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Black Mt Ski Lodge & Motel is a splendid choice, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Oregon Trail. Garnet Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Sacandaga Campground is a fine local campground; if you come at the right time of year, Stony Creek offers some good whitewater. And that's not everything you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. There are other sites here than Garnet Lake, for example Round Pond.
