All the water falling down from the sky makes Galway Lake a wet site; during June this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Camping is available at Birch Haven; dry warm beds await you at Rock Motel. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area next to Galway Lake has to offer. Hit the slopes at Hickory Ski Center in the vicinity, and you can run the rapids       of East Stony Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Broadalbin Hotel is a wonderful choice, and an afternoon playing golf at Galway Golf Course is always a bliss. Edwards Hill can be spotted from Galway Lake; there's whitewater on Schoharie Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. If you're visiting Galway Lake from Gloversville, you won't be the only one. A pleasant place to camp here at Galway Lake is Mc Conchie Heritage Acres                  Camp Grounds, and of course, this is a good area for people who like lakes, Cummings Pond is a lake nearby. All through the long summer days at Galway Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's.
