This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Indian River, and why not camp at Cedar Pond Campground since you're here at Lake Francis. Having a nice time in the Adirondack Mountains is simple. Indian River is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out; since you're here, you could also stop by gorgeous Rock Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A fine       close by hotel is Best Western Mountain Lake Inn, and there's glorious hiking along the Oregon Trail. During the summer months here at Lake Francis, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Lake Francis dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. You can never get                  enough of the magnificent skiing at Gore Mountain, and do stop by Stonystep Pond, it's a stunning lake. Lake Francis is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Bad Luck Mountain is scenic and can be made out from Lake Francis, and soar down the rapids of Cedar River in a kayak. The Sucker Brook Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you came for an overnight stay Hoss's Country Campground is a glorious spot to camp. Lake Francis gets a typical amount of annual rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are really plentiful here at Lake Francis.
