In New York there are many beautiful lakes, Francis Lake is one of them. Near Francis Lake you find the Salmon Lake Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. Francis Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Moose River Camp Grounds is a tremendous local campground, and whitewater paddling is great on Beaver River. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Francis Lake are in the 0's. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Woodwardia Pond; going for a hike on the Post Henderson Trail is always a good adventure. | |
