This lake is so wonderful. You'll come across a picturesque lake called Big Duck Pond near Lake Frances; there's no                  such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Pisgah. If you're visiting Lake Frances from Malone, you won't be the only one, and you can stay the night at Deer River Campsites. This lake is so wonderful. So much cool stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just phenomenal. The top of Catamount Peak is easily seen from Lake Frances, and you can run the rapids of Meacham Lake Outlet. And that's not all the things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Frances has to offer, you can camp at Legton, and a picturesque lake like Lake Duane is a brilliant place to stop at.
