If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some pleasant whitewater, needless to say you could also pop by Big Duck Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Having a great time in the Adirondack Mountains is uncomplicated. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Pisgah. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Meacham Lake Outlet in a kayak,       and you can stay the night at Legton. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Titus Mountain, and Deer River Campsites is a great campground here. The yearly rain here at Lake Frances is about average; through August this area sees the most rain while January is generally the driest month. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You'll                  meet a lot of folks from Malone here; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Malone. Through the warmest time of the year here at Lake Frances, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while Lake Frances night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Lake Frances is located in the Adirondack Mountains.
