A lake nearby is Fifth Lake, and Hunter Mountain has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. The high level of precipitation makes Fourth Lake a quite wet spot; of all the months in a year November is       the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Fourth Lake without first going for a hike along the Phoenicia Trail, and going for a hike on the Kanape Jeep Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Hidden Valley Lake is always a good experience, and you can go for a hike on the Willow Trail. High temperatures at Fourth Lake through the warmest time of the year                  are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Fourth Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. Fourth Lake is not the only place close by, Second Lake is a close by lake; there's whitewater on Saw Kill River for all you adrenaline people. Super 8 Motel - Kingston is a great site to get some rest; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Rondout Creek.
