You can run the rapids of Moose River - South Branch in the vicinity of Fourth Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Fourth Lake; Salmon Lake Trail is a brilliant       local trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Fourth Lake is a wet site that gets a large amount of rain; August is when you get the most rain here while February is ordinarily the driest month. Enjoy a round of golf at Thendara Golf Club not far from Fourth Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby McCauley Mountain. A nice location for whitewater paddling close to Fourth Lake is Black River - South Branch, and do pop by Bubb Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. During the warmest time of the year here at Fourth Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
