The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. During the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Fourth Lake with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows all through the winter for Fourth Lake tend to be in the 0's. Fourth Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; all through August this area sees the       most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Go for a hike on the Stone Dam Trail, and a fine place to camp here at Fourth Lake is Cape Woods Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Black River, and you can hit the slopes at Woods Valley close by. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Fourth Lake rocks! Don't leave Fourth Lake without first going for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail, and McCauley Mountain has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Singing waters Campground is always a splendid experience, and 19th Green Motel is a good location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
