Lots of folks from Amsterdam come to Fourth Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Goose Egg Lake. At Fourth Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 20's while Fourth Lake overnight low temperatures       all through the winter are in the 0's. Holiday Inn JOHNSTOWN-GLOVERSVILLE is a good location to get some rest, and an afternoon playing golf at Nick Stoner Municipal Golf Course is always a bliss. Since you're here at Fourth Lake why not take a look at Burnt Vly, and drift down the rapids of East Canada Creek in a kayak. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Palatine Bridge is a splendid choice; you can go for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Fourth Lake has to offer, you can camp at Campsite.
