Summertime highs at Foster Pond typically tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Foster Pond. Near Foster Pond you stumble on the Gorge Trail which is a wonderful       hiking trail; if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Elmira-Riverview, Ny is a brilliant choice. Red Carpet Inn Horseheads is a good location to get some rest, and a great place to take a look at close by is Christian Hollow. All the outdoors entertaining things near Foster Pond will keep you coming back many times. Paddling on Sugar Creek is so much fun, and Mark Twain Community Golf Course is a golf course nearby.
