Spend the day on the beach at Napeague Beach since you're here at Fort Pond, and since you're here, you could also stop at gorgeous Little Reed Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Fort Pond has to offer, you can camp at Seaport Campground. After a long day outdoors Montauk Yacht Club is a magnificent site to spend a night or two; Culloden Point is nearby and always good to pop by. Sole East is a great spot to get some rest; do stop by Lake Montauk, it's a pretty lake.
