Very beautiful scenery and nice skiing is what you get at McCauley Mountain; going for a hike on the Forty Mountain Trail is always a nice adventure. Near Forestport Reservoir you find the Stone Dam Trail which is a glorious hiking
trail; a lake nearby is Davis Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Forestport Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Brook Campsites is a tremendous location for that; after a long day outdoors
Super 8 Motel - Utica is a great place to spend a night or two. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. What would winter be without some skiing at Woods Valley, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Utica-Rome
here. For the period of the summertime here at Forestport Reservoir, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs
