Many people like to go to Forestport Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Forty Mountain Trail, and not far from Forestport Reservoir you'll discover Doe Pond which is a picturesque lake. Camping at Forestport Reservoir is great fun, Stysh's Brown Barn Campgrounds is a great local campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Woodhull Creek. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains,

| | you might not ever want to go home again. Good hiking is available along the Twin Lakes Trail; after a long day outdoors Hotel Moore is a splendid site to spend a night or two. An average amount of precipitation falls at Forestport Reservoir; all through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. stay Kayuta Lake Campground is a great place to camp, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at McCauley Mountain. That right there is lots of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has
it all. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Little Woodhull Creek; skiing at Woods Valley is one of those things you just ought to do. A good nearby hotel is Crest Motel, and lots of people from Utica-Rome come here. At Forestport
Reservoir through the summer highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 20's; night lows all through the winter for Forestport Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. You'll
wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Forestport Reservoir. An afternoon playing golf at Alder Creek Golf Course & Country Inn is always a pleasure, and going for a hike on the Stone Dam Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
