     New York has many beautiful lakes and Forestport Reservoir is one of them. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a fine time. Lakes are splendid; Kayuta Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Forestport Reservoir, and since you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Alder Creek Golf Course & Country Inn. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Forestport Reservoir with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter  
   highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Forestport Reservoir fall into the 0's. Forestport Reservoir is located in the Adirondack Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Woods Valley is a tremendous local ski area, and Alder Creek is close to Forestport Reservoir and is always a diversion to stop at. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Dry warm
 
               beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Utica, and if you came for an overnight stay Kayuta Lake Campground is a splendid location to camp. The slopes of Snow Ridge are so inviting nobody can resist.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Forestport Reservoir a wet place; the wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Forestport Reservoir. There are plenty of folks from Utica-Rome here at Forestport Reservoir, and going for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Have a great hiking adventure along the Stone Dam Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Black River.
This lake is so wonderful. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Alder Pond is a lake nearby, and Stysh's Brown Barn Campgrounds is a good campground nearby. If you need a place to stay Red Roof Inn Utica is a splendid choice, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Party Trail.

Forty Mountain Trail

Since 2001, it has become a bushwhack and can be close to impossible in the spring and summer to find the blazes that indicate the trail. Wet seasons can make the slopes tretcherous, and the trail dissapears at the base of the mountain. One must plot a compass course or use a GPS. The summit offers limited views of the Black River area of the southwestern Adirondacks. Watch for black bears, as they are numerous in this region....

We drive through the sugarbush. Maple syrup from the farm is for sale in the store. While doing your laundry you can bring you computer and sit in the lounge to catch up on your email, watch a movie, play a game, read a book or browse through the antiques qnd gifts. You can kick back or stay busy. Firewood and ice available on site. We aim to please. Our prices are reasonable.
