The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Going for a hike along the Pharoah Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Forest Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Forest Lake Camp is a fine spot for that, and you can never get enough of the fine skiing at Gore Mountain. Dry warm beds await you at Blue Lagoon on Lake       Georg, and get drenched paddling on Schroon River. Forest Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Forest Lake generally tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Forest Lake. Now, you may imagine                  that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Penny Pond is close to Forest Lake; a brilliant sight of striking Chase Mountain is available. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is great! If the weather is glorious here at Forest Lake, you can go for a hike along the Long Swing Trail, and you'll probably meet some people from Glens Falls here. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Hiking along the Spectacle Pond Trail is brilliant fun, and nice skiing awaits you at West Mountain. If you came to camp Lake George/Schroon valley Resort is a nice location to do that, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Kellum Pond is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
