Forest Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Robert Moses is a nice local campground, and get drenched paddling on Ramapo River. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn/Central Valley, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mt. Peter since you're here. Now, you       may believe that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Forest Lake. Looking for some flowing water? Try Surebridge Brook, and you can hit the beach if you want, New Sebago Beach is practically right here. Hiking along the Stillwell Lake Trail is nice fun; if you've had enough of Forest Lake, Cranberry Lake is nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Forest Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily                  in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Forest Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. If you need a place to stay Hampton Inn Harriman Woodbury is a good choice, and an afternoon playing golf at Central Valley Golf Club is always a bliss. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Breakneck Ridge Trail, and a great spot to camp here at Forest Lake is Camp wabenaki. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Popolopen Creek, and what would winter be without some skiing at Sterling Forest. Forest Lake typically gets a great deal of precipitation; most of the rain falls during May while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
