Near Forest Glen Lake you hit upon the Peenpack Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and some of the water close by flows, like Black Brook. Not far from Forest Glen Lake, you'll come across Crescent Lake which is a charming lake; you can stay the night at Swinging Bridge Lake Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Inn At Lake Joseph is a good       site to spend a night or two, and a day on the slopes of Holiday Mountain is just what you need. And that's not all you can do here at Forest Glen Lake. Going for a hike on the Lost Cabin Trail is always a glorious adventure, and glide down the rapids of Delaware River in a kayak. Forest Glen Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here                  at Forest Glen Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kittatinny Campgrounds is a great place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Monticello. This lake is so wonderful. There are fine sites to discover along the Schiff Trail, and get wet paddling on Mongaup River. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Forest Glen Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
