Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. There are good places to look at along the Dividing Ridge Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Paradise Pines is a perfect location to camp. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a great time. Go for a hike on the Van Hoevenberg Trail, and if you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Lake       Placid is a wonderful choice. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Fly Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Fly Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Fly Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is tremendous at Gore Mountain, and camping is available at Shearer's Riverside Campsite. On a lovely day you obtain                  a vista of Wolf Pond Mountain from Fly Pond, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Whiteface Mountain is reasonably near. An average amount of rainfall falls at Fly Pond; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Some of the water close by flows, like Andrew Brook, and there's whitewater on Boreas River - Upper for all you adrenaline junkies. But wait, there's more to do next to Fly Pond. Going for a hike on the Elk Lake Marcy Trail is always a wonderful adventure; dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Lake Placid. This lake is so wonderful.
