El Dorado Beach is close to Floodwood Pond and is a wonderful beach to stop at; North Colwell Pond is a good lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Ramada Inn is a splendid place to spend       a night or two. If you came to camp Up The Creek Campgrounds is a good location to do that; the panorama of charming Colwell Hill is brilliant. An average amount of rainfall falls at Floodwood Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. Lakes? Sure, Goose Pond is close at hand, and if you're here, you could stop at Mud Brook. At Floodwood Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in                  the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Floodwood Pond throughout the winter regularly descend into the 0's. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some tremendous whitewater; golf can be played at Elms Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful.
