If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Elms Golf Club is in the vicinity, and Salmon River is a good whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Floodwood Pond. The vista of Colwell Hill from Floodwood Pond is gorgeous. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Floodwood Pond has to offer, you can camp at Up The Creek Campgrounds.       This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Floodwood Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Green Acres Of Lake Ontario is a great spot for that, and beaches are tremendous and Southwich Beach is no exception. You could also take a look at Cranberry Pond since you're here at Floodwood Pond; it's close by, and a day at El Dorado Beach is time well spent. Summertime highs at Floodwood Pond generally tend to be in the 70's, and throughout                  summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Floodwood Pond throughout the wintertime regularly sink into the 0's. A great site for whitewater paddling right next door to Floodwood Pond is Sandy Creek, and a fine nearby hotel is Aspinwall Motel. Deer Creek Motel is a magnificent place to get some rest; why not check out close by Mud Brook while you're here at Floodwood Pond.
