You can run the rapids of Saranac River - North Branch close to Fishhole Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Pisgah if you're here. A large amount of rain falls at Fishhole Pond; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Near Fishhole Pond you find the Schwartz Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and Woodlake Inn is a magnificent site to get some rest. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
