The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Oregon Trail; if you need a place to stay Northwind Lodge is a good choice. That right there is a heap already, but it goes on; Fish Ponds has it all. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Gore Mountain since you're here; get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater       of Stony Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Black Mt Ski Lodge & Motel is a great site to spend a night or two, obviously you could also stop by Kibby Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Georgia Brook. There's so much to do here at Fish Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Sacandaga Campground is a great place for that. Be careful coming to                  the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a good time. You can distinguish Mount Blue from Fish Ponds; Fish Ponds is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Wintergreen Lake Campsite is a pleasant local campground. From a precipitation point of view Fish Ponds is a relatively common spot; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Through the warm days of summer here at Fish Ponds, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's.
