This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at First Stillwater that you need to camp here for a while, Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a good location for that, and there's perfect hiking along the Twin Lakes Trail. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Adirondack Mountains. The slopes of McCauley Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and there's whitewater on West

| | Canada Creek - South Branch for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Indian River close to First Stillwater, and a charming lake like Caswell Lake is a good site to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Party Trail; a brilliant nearby hotel is Knights Inn Little Falls. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. | |

The California Trail offers hiking at its best; the vista of Jones Mountain is beautiful. So many exciting things to do at First Stillwater, so little time. First Stillwater is nice enough to spend more than a day at, OLD Forge
Camping Resort is a nice local campground; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Swanson Dam. The warmest time of the year at First Stillwater comes with high temperatures in the 70's; the night is a little cooler
of course, typically in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for First Stillwater. Do stop at Jones Lake next to First Stillwater, it's a lovely lake, and swing by Elbow
Brook it's a delightful place to stop at. First Stillwater regularly gets a great deal of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February.
