If you are traveling by, why not stop by First Lake. The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Gotta ski! Hunter Mountain is a good place to do that. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Catskill Mountains. A great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Kingston,Ny; don't leave First Lake without first going for a hike along the Kanape Jeep Trail.

| | of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at First Lake, too fine to be true. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Kingston is a great site to spend a night or two, and a good place to camp here at First Lake is Ulster County Four-h Camp. go to Binnewater Lakes, it's a wonderful lake.
Fly Mountain is clearly visible from First Lake, and camping at Hidden Valley Lake is always a great experience. High temperatures at First Lake throughout the summer months are in
the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to First Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at First Lake, you could also
pop by picturesque Fourth Lake, and First Lake is not far at all from Kingston.
This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Phoenicia Trail, and you can run the rapids of Rondout Creek. A splendid location for whitewater
paddling next to First Lake is Saw Kill River, and right next door to First Lake you stumble on a golf course called Wiltwyck Country Club.
