So many enjoyable things in the Adirondack Mountains, just extraordinary. Golden Stair Mountain is clearly visible from First Lake; the Stone Dam Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Black River - South Branch, and nearby you discover the Forty Mountain Trail which is a fine hiking       trail. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Camping at Nicks Lake Campgrounds is always a perfect experience, and don't forget to stop by Deer Bay while you're here. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area close to First Lake has to offer. Camping is available at OLD Forge Camping Resort, and you should beyond doubt check out Bisby Lodge while here. Paddling on Moose River - South Branch is                  so much fun, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail. First Lake commonly gets lots of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. A stunning lake like Chamber Lake right next door to First Lake is a wonderful site to take a look at; skiing at McCauley Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. First Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. For the duration of the long summer days at First Lake highs are frequently in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
