Good hiking is available along the Twin Lakes Trail, and if you need a site to stay Crest Motel is a magnificent choice. The high level of rain makes Finches Pond a pretty wet site; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike       on the Forty Mountain Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Grant Hotel. For the period of the summertime months at Finches Pond highs are regularly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Finches Pond temperatures descend to the 0's. If the weather is delightful, you acquire a great sight of Party Hill from Finches Pond. There's so much to do                  here at Finches Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Adirondack Gateway Campground is a delightful site for that. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Going for a hike on the Party Trail is always a great adventure, and why not head up to McCauley Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. That right there is heaps of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Finches Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, West Canada Creek Campsites is a splendid local campground, and a lake close by is Little Deer Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.
