Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and you'll find a picturesque lake called Lake Frederick. The high level of rainfall makes Filers Lake a reasonably wet location; May is when you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sterling Forest; if you're here, you could also go       to pretty Spring Lake. Hiking along the Stillwell Lake Trail is wonderful fun. During the long summer days here at Filers Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Filers Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Moodna Creek, and if                  you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge West Point is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mt. Peter is a splendid site to do that. If you came for an overnight stay Robert Moses is a great place to camp, and there's whitewater on Popolopen Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. While you're here at Filers Lake you can take a hike along the Breakneck Ridge Trail; here at Filers Lake you can see Blackcap Mountain. And that's not all you can do here at Filers Lake.
