    Fifth Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rondout Creek; there are plenty of people from Kingston here. It's a glorious idea to pop by Coxing Kill, it's close to Fifth Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Hidden Valley Lake is a wonderful place to camp. Fifth Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November; February on the other  
   hand is the driest.
If you come at the right time of year, Saw Kill River offers some pleasant whitewater, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Willow Trail. While you're here at Fifth Lake you can take a hike along the Kanape Jeep Trail, and Outdoor Inns is a great location to get some rest. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Fifth Lake. What would winter be without some skiing at Hunter Mountain, and Wiltwyck
 
               Country Club is a magnificent golf course nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Fourth Lake is in the vicinity; camping at Fifth Lake is tremendous fun, Ulster County Four-h Camp is a tremendous local campground. Very scenic scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Windham Mountain. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Fifth Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Fifth Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay High Falls Motel is a perfect choice, and the Phoenicia Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
