Lakes are magnificent; Lake Altamont is a lake that's in close proximity to Fiero Pond. You'll       need more than a day to discover everything Fiero Pond has to offer, you can camp at Berentsen's Campgrounds. During the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Fiero Pond. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 20's; night lows throughout the wintertime for Fiero Pond tend to be in the 10's. Don't forget to take a great little tour to Little Shawangunk Kill, and                  the Comfort Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. Holiday Mountain has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES is a pleasant site to get some rest. Near Fiero Pond you hit upon the Vernooy Falls Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Rainbow Valley Campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Beer Kill River - West Branch. All the water falling down from the sky makes Fiero Pond a wet spot; May is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. So much exciting stuff near Fiero Pond, just incredible.
