If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. If you're a golfer then a fine close by course is Green Mansion Golf Course, and there's brilliant hiking along the Spectacle Pond Trail. Alligator Pond is a good lake in close proximity to Faxons Pond, and paddling on Schroon River is so much fun. Faxons Pond truly is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise.       Panther Mountain can be distinguished from Faxons Pond, and soar down the rapids of Hudson River in a kayak. Stay the night at Canoe Creek Campground, and the Pharoah Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Glens Falls here; if you need a place to stay Conway's Lake Manor is a magnificent choice. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Very wonderful scenery                  and nice skiing is what you get at Gore Mountain, and Panther Mountain Inn is a great location to get some rest. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is plentiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at Faxons Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Riverside Pines is a great spot for that, and Faxons Pond is right by the Long Swing Trail. All through the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 70's at Faxons Pond. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Faxons Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
