Faxons Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rain; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Faxons Pond. Good hiking is available along the Spectacle Pond Trail, and Faxons Pond is not the only location nearby, Alligator Pond is a nearby lake. There's no way       somebody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. A great nearby hotel is Blue Lagoon on Lake Georg; for you golfers we recommend close by Green Mansion Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Faxons Pond is Hudson River, and you can stay the night at Canoe Creek Campground. So much cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. If you get bored of Faxons Pond, you could also                  visit close by Sullivan Pond, and Country Haven Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. There's glorious hiking along the Pharoah Mountain Trail; if you need a spot to stay Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Faxons Pond; Long Swing Trail is a brilliant local trail, and Panther Mountain is clearly visible from Faxons Pond. You can run the rapids of Schroon River next to Faxons Pond; the snow is tremendous at Gore Mountain. For the period of the summer here at Faxons Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's while night lows are generally in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Faxons Pond temperatures fall to the 0's.
