This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Fish Creek - East Branch in a kayak, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Oneida Verona. That right there is a load already, but it carries on; Faulkner Ponds has it all. Camping is available at Lone Pine Camp Grounds, and if you come at the right time of year, Mad River offers some great whitewater.       For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Faulkner Ponds, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Faulkner Ponds dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. It's a wonderful idea to take a look at Fields Brook, it's near Faulkner Ponds, and a journey to Fort Stanwix National Monument is worthwhile. Faulkner Ponds gets much                  water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July.
