The beauty of Evans Pond attracts many people from all around. All year is a great time in the Adirondack Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. At Evans Pond through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Evans Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains,

| | too splendid to be true. Crandall Falls is a nice local attraction, and do go to Beaver Meadow Brook if you're here at Evans Pond. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black River, as expected you could also check out Lake Julia if you're here; it's not far at all. a popular thing to do around Evans Pond; Forty Mountain Trail is a nice local trail, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Little Black Creek. Evans Pond typically gets a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is September,
and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Tamarack Swamp is close at hand; Kayuta Lake Campground is a wonderful campground nearby. If you need a spot to stay Red Roof Inn Utica
is a great choice, and splendid hiking is available along the Stone Dam Trail. Stay the night at Trail's End Campground, and if you're popping by from Utica-Rome, you won't be the only one. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable
things in close proximity to Evans Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Utica, and a golf course close by is Alder Creek Golf Course & Country Inn. Man, is there lots of entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains.
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Party Trail, and if you've had enough of Evans Pond, Davis Pond is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is great at Woods Valley; the top of Ninety Five Hill is easily observed from Evans Pond.

Forty Mountain Trail
 | Since 2001, it has become a bushwhack and can be close to impossible in the spring and summer to find the blazes that indicate the trail. Wet seasons can make the slopes tretcherous, and the trail dissapears at the base of the mountain. One must plot a compass course or use a GPS.
