Stay the night at Salisbury Chenango Shores Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Point Motel. You're sure to run into some great folks from Cortland here, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Bowman Creek. What a site this is for outdoors people. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Bennett Hotel is a good location to spend a night or two, and a pretty lake like Stump Pond is a perfect place       to explore. Labrador Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff, and Twin Brooks Recreation is a great campground here. For the duration of the warm months here at Ellis Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Ellis Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
