If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Lake Elizabeth. A magnificent nearby hotel is The Thayer Hotel, and a round of golf at nearby The Garrison Golf Club is a good way to kill some time. This place, Lake Elizabeth, it simply has so much outdoors fun stuff. Sterling Forest is a very popular ski area in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. | | and don't leave Lake Elizabeth without first going for a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail.
Don't forget to take a fine little tour to Arden Brook, and there are nice spots to discover along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. At Lake Elizabeth through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. dip to the 10's. Beaver Pond is a great local campground, and Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out.
Yeah, come here to Lake Elizabeth for a good time. While you're here at Lake Elizabeth, you could also pop by
picturesque Lake Alice, and Canada Hill is striking and can be spotted from here. Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a good location to get some rest, and tremendous hiking is available along the Woodtown Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek, and Arden Point is in the vicinity and always splendid to stop at.
Lots of rain falls at Lake Elizabeth; May is the month
that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Moodna Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Sebago Cabins Harriman is a good campground nearby.
