This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Spectacle Pond Trail is always a good adventure; a nice nearby hotel is Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel. Lots of people from Glens Falls come to Echo Lake, and a pretty lake like Mud Pond is a great site to stop at. The panorama of stunning Hackensack Mountain near Echo Lake is good. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Adirondack       Mountains has to offer. West Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Glen Creek. All through the summertime at Echo Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Echo Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Having a great time in the Adirondack Mountains is easy. Hit the slopes at Gore                  Mountain around here; Super 8 Lake George Resort is a magnificent place to get some rest. This site is great, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do right next door to Echo Lake. There are nice places to look at along the Pharoah Mountain Trail; drift down the rapids of Schroon River in a kayak. The amount of rain that falls at Echo Lake is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Queen Village Camp Ground is a good place to do that, and Poker Pond is a magnificent lake nearby. Echo Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains.
