Do stop by Echo Lake while you're in this part of New York. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Catskill Mountains. There is a splendid hiking trail near Echo Lake called the Willow Trail, and there are plenty of people from Kingston here. lake is so wonderful. Plattekill Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby; camping is available at Rip Van winkle Campgrounds. There are great sites to look at along the Phoenicia Trail, and a splendid place to camp here
at Echo Lake is Saugerties/Woodstock KOA. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Spruceton Trail is always a splendid adventure, and whitewater paddling is fine on Saw Kill River. This place, Echo Lake, it completely
has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Saugerties is a tremendous choice, and a pleasant tour to Devils Kitchen is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon.
