Echo Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Plattekill Creek is so much fun; Indian Head Mountain is delightful and can be seen from here. Summertime at Echo Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Echo Lake through the winter generally sink

| | into the 0's. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Catskill Mountains. Really perfect skiing awaits you at Hunter Mountain, and not far from Echo Lake you'll hit upon Kingston Reservoir Number Two which is a lovely lake. An average amount of precipitation falls at Echo Lake; through May this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. time. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Windham Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day at Echo Lake you can take a hike along the Willow Trail, and if you need a place to stay Saugerties Howard
Johnson Inn is a nice choice. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Catskill Mountains is so good! Here at Echo Lake you'll possibly meet some people from Kingston; while you're here and you like golf, you can check
out Rip Van Winkle Country Club. Devils Kitchen is a great spot to stretch your legs a bit. Lakes? Sure, Kingston Reservoir Number Four is around here. Echo Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Saugerties/Woodstock
KOA is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Hotel Mountain Brook. This lake is one of the great places here in the Catskill Mountains. Get covered with water paddling on Saw Kill River, and the Spruceton
Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Just can't get enough of Echo Lake. Stay the night at Rip Van winkle Campgrounds; there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Phoenicia Trail.
