What a nice lake Echo Lake is. And if that's not enough there's a load more cool stuff to do in the Catskill Mountains. A wonderful view of picturesque Indian Head Mountain is available from Echo Lake, and if you're here at Echo Lake it's a tremendous idea to check out Devils Kitchen. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Plattekill Creek, and Echo Lake is right by the Willow Trail. There's just

| | no way anybody can get bored here at Echo Lake. There's whitewater on Saw Kill River for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Saugerties Howard Johnson Inn, and folks from Kingston love to come here. Just can't get enough of the Catskill Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Rip Van winkle Campgrounds is a delightful location to camp, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Hunter Mountain is quite near. | |

Any time is a great time at Echo Lake if you love the outdoors. If you get bored of Echo Lake, you could also take a look at nearby Kingston Reservoir Number Two; if you need a spot to stay Hotel Mountain Brook is a perfect choice.
For the period of the long summer days highs here at Echo Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the winter for
Echo Lake tend to be in the 0's. Take a hike on the Spruceton Trail; a round of golf at nearby Rip Van Winkle Country Club is a pleasant way to kill some time. An average amount of precipitation falls at Echo Lake; May is when you
get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Why not camp at Saugerties/Woodstock KOA while you're here at Echo Lake, and Windham Mountain is a great local ski area. A lake close by is Kingston Reservoir Number
Four, and hiking along the Phoenicia Trail is perfect fun. This lake is located in the wonderful Catskill Mountains.
