Going for a hike on the Vernooy Falls Trail is always a tremendous adventure; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandburg Creek. Very scenic scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Mt. Peter, and Beer Kill River - West Branch has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Stony Brook is one of the streams       nearby that might be worth visiting; after a long day outdoors Nevele Grande Resort is a nice site to spend a night or two. Near Echo Lake you stumble on the Comfort Trail which is a good hiking trail, and why not camp at Wanderwood Camp Ground while you're here at Echo Lake. Camping at Echo Lake is wonderful fun, Rainbow Valley Campground is a wonderful local campground, and Jeronimo Hotel is a great location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A lake                  close by is Beaverman Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Echo Lake. There are nice places to look at along the Kanape Jeep Trail, and a golf course close by is Wallkill Golf Club. All the water falling down from the sky makes Echo Lake a wet spot; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Summer at Echo Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's.
