Have a great hiking adventure along the Vernooy Falls Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Indian Lake Camp is a delightful spot to camp. The high level of precipitation makes Echo Lake a rather wet site; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is regularly the driest month. For the duration of the warmest time of the year here at Echo       Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; night lows in the 10's for Echo Lake. But wait, there's more to do near Echo Lake. Stony Brook is close to Echo Lake and is always a bliss to take a look at; whitewater paddling is splendid on Beer Kill River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go                  whitewater paddling on Sandburg Creek, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Mt. Peter. A golf course near Echo Lake is Wallkill Golf Club, and Nevele Grande Resort is a great spot to get some rest. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Lake Jerry, and hiking along the Comfort Trail is brilliant fun. While you're here at Echo Lake you can take a hike along the Kanape Jeep Trail, and Camp Echo is a tremendous local campground. After a long day outdoors VALLEY BROOK INN AND COTTAGES is a great place to spend a night or two.
