This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Echo Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows at Echo Lake during the winter mostly plunge into the 0's. Camping is available at Rainbows End, and there are other sites here than Echo Lake, for example Lake Pleasant. This       lake is so wonderful. Sacandaga River - Middle Branch has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Sucker Brook Trail. Brister Brook flows through this area; Lake Sound is a perfect lake nearby. Echo Lake is a wet place that gets lots of rain; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not enough there's lots more cool stuff                  to do in the Adirondack Mountains. At Echo Lake you can catch a sight of Page Hill, and the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to bump into some friendly folks from Gloversville here. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. A brilliant beach close to Echo Lake is Moffit Beach, and camping at Ranch Side Park is always a great experience. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to Echo Lake has to offer.
