New York has many beautiful lakes and Echo Lake is one of them. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And that's not everything you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Not far from Echo Lake, you'll hit upon Whitaker Lake which is a beautiful lake, and Echo Lake is not far at all from Gloversville. Echo Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most,

| | and February meanwhile is the driest month. There's some flowing water close by, Brister Brook is a stream you can stop by while here, and nearby you stumble on the Sucker Brook Trail which is a good hiking trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Sacandaga Lake, and Echo Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Rainbows End is a wonderful local campground. easily observed from Echo Lake. At Echo Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Echo
Lake. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Going for a hike on the Northville Lake Placid Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and paddling on Sacandaga River - Middle Branch is so much fun. So many
amusing things in the Adirondack Mountains, just striking. Soar down the rapids of Sacandaga River in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Echo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ranch Side Park is a splendid site for
that. This lake is so wonderful. The Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a good hiking trail right next door to Echo Lake; you can hit the beach if you want, Moffit Beach is practically right here.
