If you are in Essex county it's always a good idea to stop by Echo Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains. If you need a spot to stay Mirror Lake Inn is a brilliant choice, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Schwartz Trail. not all you can do here at Echo Lake. Whitewater paddling is great on Ausable River - West Branch, and you can stay the night at Adirondak Loj.
The summit of Cobble Hill can be seen from Echo Lake, and Hopping Bear Point is not
far at all. Chubb River is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. Lakes are fine; Connery Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Echo Lake. This is a fine region for folks who like lakes. Lake Placid is a lake close
at hand, and a great nearby hotel is Lake Placid Club Lodge.
All year is a fine time in the Adirondack Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. If the weather is splendid here at Echo Lake, you can go for a hike along
the Indian Pass Trail, and a golf course close by is Craig Wood Golf & Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from Plattsburgh come to Echo Lake, and Echo Lake is a perfect location to visit for more than one day,
Whispering Pines Campground is a perfect location to camp nearby. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Echo Lake; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is when it's the driest.
